How to Add and Embed A Poll Inside Blogger Post

The Poll gadget in Blogger is a great way to interact with your readers and know their choices. But the Poll gadget is available only for the blog sidebar by default.

Now you must have seen those top websites adding a poll inside every post, unfortunately this feature is absent in blogger. Still if you wish to add poll inside each and every post of your Blog like the top websites, then you're at the right place. I'll now explain a short and simple tutorial to Embed A Poll Inside Blogger Post.

                        

ADD A POLL TO YOUR BLOG SIDEBAR

The first part includes adding a poll gadget to blog your sidebar -

1. Go to Layout. Click Add a Gadget on your sidebar.
2. Choose Poll from the list of gadgets.
3. Now add Question and Answer options to the poll and Save it.

                          

4. Add the Poll gadget to the sidebar and Save arrangement.

ADD/EMBED POLL INSIDE BLOG POST

1. Go to your Blog (Home page) and press CTRL+U. You can view the complete source code of your Blog, the source will be massive but don't bother about it.

2. Now press CTRL+F and search for your Poll name (or Poll Question).  For example -
I searched for my Poll - "Rate the Music RED by Taylor Swift" and this is what I found :




3. After searching for your Poll name you will find a similar code(as shown in screenshot) below your poll name. Now just copy the iframe code (inline frame) form the start tag to the ending iframe tag. (highlighted by the red rectangle)

4. Now head directly to Post editor (or Post Draft). Click HTML, you can see your post in HTML codes. Paste the copied iframe code into your desired place inside the post where you want to position the poll.

Once you have published the post, you can go to Layout and remove the Poll gadget from the Sidebar, this won't affect the poll inside your post body because Google maintains the data of every poll added. And that is the sole reason why this trick works!

You can use this method to add any number of polls for any number of posts but you have to first add the Poll gadget and then copy its source to paste it inside post body.

So that was simple, isn't it? You can now have a poll for each Blog post without being a tech savvy.
