HJSplit : Split Those Large and Bulky Files

By Sidhant Raj

“Holy Shit! These big sized files are driving me nuts; every time I download them they somehow get interrupted! I guess, I am the only one, God hates.”
Guys, God is not that sadist to hate you for a silly reason. I have got a good reason to be happy and download/upload large sized files easily. Really, this is a natural experience in everyone’s life, downloading/uploading large size files seems a difficult task, in spite of how fast your internet may be.

A new instrument to this problem is “HJsplit” which has the power to split and re-join files. For instance, many times in mediafire or say any other file hosting site, the download pattern are of these kind.

Yes, this isn’t a simple phenomenon rather a trick to remain away from the headache of download/upload interruption.

Welcome to HJSplit!!!

In this particular post we will explore how to get handy with this tiny but effective software.

Process 1:

You need to download it from the internet and for that we need to know our platform, for e.g., Windows, Linux, MAC, etc.

After knowing your PC’s basics you need to go to the below link

Now, you will get a screen, kind of this:

Mark the ovals, blue for windows, yellow for linux, red for mac os and many other platforms are available.

Basically, ours is windows so this post details you about the Windows version.

Go ahead and Click it!!!
After Clicking you will be directed to a page just scroll down a bit and you will find this on your screen:

Out of three choose any one and get it downloaded on your computer.

Process 2:

After having it on your compared check for the zip file location and extract it. After extracting it get inside the folder, you will find 2 files one read me.txt and the other being hjsplit.

Now, double click it and you will get a window like this:

Now you have it!

Process 3:

You need to be clear about its functionality, right? Yes, so we start with splitting a large file so we can be easily able to upload it on the internet.

Click on the Split button on the window and you get this:

What we need to in this is just input the large file and fix the size of each split file and star the service.

Now for instance I have a movie Transformers II – The Rise of the Fallen and its size is 2.19 GB, as you can see and I need it to upload it on the internet.
So this is the way I should go.
Just go through the screenshots.

After you click start you will have to wait for few minutes as the work will be in progress while in the mean time you will see new files popping up in the original file’s folder whose name ends with .001,.002,.003,.004, and so on, Remember as splitting makes file names in a particular format i.e. .001,.002 same wise during join you need to be sure that the files you are joining need to be in the same format otherwise the join won’t work properly.

Now, there are 5 parts of the film and now m ready to upload them. Remember unless all the parts are joined them they won’t play. So after downloading all the parts from the internet they need to be joined and the option again is HJsplit.

It will take few minutes to complete, the large single file pop up in the same folder and you can play the movie now smoothly.

Thanks for reading this. We hope it helped you at least a bit.

Later!!!

THE FLIGHT DAY

It was that momentous day and I was ready for it. I found myself in front of the mirror, keenly analysing my own reflection. No I was not a narcissist. I was more intent on determining how much I had changed. Have I really changed? Have I not been the person I was supposed to be? Before I could answer my own questions, I heard the message tone of my phone. It was she and her message said - "Please try to be on time at least tonight. Else let me know, I will help myself with a cab." I replied back - "That won't be necessary. The cab is here already. Starting now. Be ready." I lifted my luggage and rushed to the cab outside.   Shall we directly go to the airport Sir? asked the driver. "No we have to pick someone on the way and then take us to airport." The driver nodded and the cab was on its way. "Someone"- I just referred to her as "someone". Is that what she will be for me after tonight? Is this truly ...
