It is rightly said “The most important things in life aren’t things”. We are breathing so called extravagant life leaving many possessions behind, just to earn vitality. Surely contentment flashes when we look at the cash credited status in our account but are we really content? Do we feel gratified? Are we so obsessed with making money that we have neglected the substantial joy from our lives? What about the emotions, the respect, the freedom, inclusion and most meaningful LOVE we are worthy of?
Certainly you cannot expect all these from people you meet day to day or spend your ample time with at the workplace or anywhere else. Getting captivated to fascinating lifestyle and the urge of earning is something we cannot oversight…True, but we are compromising too much for this. We get distressed and depressed more as the apprehension of losing power and position has beaten down our self-confidence.
The surveys done amongst us only proof the growth of dissatisfaction and letting down. We very often feel crabbed and disheartened as we anticipate too much from people around us. This feeling of annoyance emerges only when we do not admire our own value but count on others. We over-stress ourselves that results in imbalance of our private and public life. We end up giving more consideration to people who never loved us and struggle hard to put in the affection for our beloved.
And this is surely not the life of our dreams…!
Life will never be a child’s play; the more you attain maturity, more you get seasoned with offbeat attitudes and offences. In order to keep everyone happy around us, we keep hurting ourselves because we have given the potential of our exhilaration to others’ reactions and opinions. Something futile we keep doing all our lives is trying to impress others and sway them from our deeds. We overthink and get dismayed over others backlash and allow them to manipulate our belief to whatever they want us to believe. World has become a place to just be in each other’s good books until and unless you are valuable. We are becoming insecure about ourselves and its high time to realise how influential is it to develop a sense of self-love and mind you………….. Its not selfish!!
Self-esteem and self-love are ingredients to lead a simple and smooth life. You start feeling of a positive aura around. You attain inner stability irrespective of what the world thinks of you. The positivity makes you more deserving of worthy things around. Lastly we are entitled to our own love and affection more than others’ fondness.
Be gentle with yourself, become your favourite, develop a liking and respect for yourself. Serve yourself with delicacies, favour yourself with gifts and keep being joyful and cheerful regardless of what your friends and rivals think about you. Until and unless you have a graceful relationship with your own thoughts and soul, you cannot set the tone with every other relationship. Cut yourself loose from the worries of what opinions others keep about you. Love yourself truly and life will show you magnificent colours of happiness.
Anna Taylor, the famous author from New Zealand has something nice to say – “Love yourself enough to set boundaries. Your time and energy are precious. You get to choose how you use it. You teach people how to treat you by deciding what you will and won’t accept” You should not let anyone’s outrageous behaviour wreck the inner peace you deserve. Life is yours and therefore you have the right to agree or disagree rather than someone else taking decisions on your behalf and you just go after…No, a complete No! Nothing in this world is perfect and you cannot mould someone or something to be. So aspire, inspire and give credence to your thoughts and beliefs. Nourish and flourish yourself with affectionate behaviour. And Do not forget to fall in Love with yourself First.

Well said ,' love yourself first ' 'dont let others control you '
