Photos are synonymous with memories. That extra bit can rendered by various Photo Editing softwares available. Some of the popular ones Adobe Photoshop, Corel Paint Shop Pro, Adobe Lightroom, GIMP etc. But most of these require skills and expertise which in turn require time to learn. So which is the best photo editing software for Beginners?

In this post I will post about the effects and features of a free Photo editing software named
Photoscape
You can download Photoscape here - Download

Photoscape 3.6

Viewer TAB

The Viewer Tab provides thumbnail views of all the photos in a given folder.  Users can use the Viewer module to view photos as a slideshow by right clicking one of the thumbnails in the folder and then clicking the slideshow mode.

Editor TAB

The Editor TAB is the main functional tab of the Photoscape interface. It contains all the effects that you can use to modify a photo. To Open the Editor interface you have to Right Click on your photo and select "Open with" and select Photoscape. The photo will open as shown in the screenshot above.

The Editor TAB has a control panel which has various effects and features you can add to the photo :

The Control panel has effects that include Frames which provide a huge number pre-designed frame templates to add to your photos. You have to select frames from the list to add them to your photos

The control panel has other features like Resize which can be used to adjust height and width of the photo.
Other features include Auto Contrast, Auto Level, BloomBacklight which are used to adjust contrast and brightness of the photo.
*If at any point you will feel that the effects added are unwanted or unsuitable then you can Undo the effects using the UndoUndo All buttons present at the right corner of the control panel.

Object TAB

The Object TAB (highlighted by red pen) is the most fun filled feature of Photoscape. As the above screen shot shows you can add several Symbols, Icons as well as Speech balloons to your photos to make them more appealing. you just have to click the buttons on various symbols and you will get a list of Symbols, Icons and Balloons of which you can choose your own choice of object.

Crop TAB

Sometimes you need to select a specific portion of a photo and ignore the rest part of it, to do that you need to Crop the desired part of your photo and cut out the rest insignificant part. To do the Crop you have to click the Crop TAB located on the left corner of the control panel (highlighted by blue pen). Once you click it you will find an arrow like cursor on the photo with which you can drag and make your selection of the specific area. Then you can click Save Cropped Area and get the cropped photo.

Once done you can save your cropped photo by clicking the Save button the right corner of the control panel.

Filter BUTTON

The filter button has some exclusive pre-defined effects that provide some unbelievable effects to your photos. You just have to click the Filter button (highlighted in yellow) located at the centre of the control panel and a list of effects will emerge.

A wide range of effects can be achieve under the Filter mode, which has several menus including blurring, tinting, creating lens flare, embossing, increasing and reducing image noise, and creating a reflection. The Filter mode also has menus for distorting images including creating a fish-eye, wave, and blurring effect. You can also make a Box shaped like a cuboid showing the photo on differebt angles

One of the menus I find useful is the Region (Out of Focus) menu, where I can make adjustments to a specific area in a photo while not effecting other areas.

Page TAB

The Page TAB (located at the top menu of the interface) can combine several photos to make a collage and there are more 100 layouts available. To begin, choose the format of the layout shown on the right (highlighted by blue ellipse), then you can browse to the desired photo folder through the panel (highlighted by green) and then drag and drop the selected photos  from the photo thumbnails of the selected folder (highlighted by red) onto the canvas to make a collage. You can move and scale each photo in the collage as well as make adjustments to the overall layout including size, rounding corners, and framing.

These are some of the fun-filled effects that you would love to add to your photos with Photoscape

The Triple-Dip Flight Hack: Promo Codes + Gift Cards + Cashback Cards = Massive Savings Welcome back to The Paradox Blogger's guide to traveling smarter, not harder. In the world of travel hacking, "Double Dipping" used to be the secret weapon of savvy flyers. But what if you could take it a step further? THE FLIGHT DAY

It was that momentous day and I was ready for it. I found myself in front of the mirror, keenly analysing my own reflection. No I was not a narcissist. I was more intent on determining how much I had changed. Have I really changed? Have I not been the person I was supposed to be? Before I could answer my own questions, I heard the message tone of my phone. It was she and her message said - "Please try to be on time at least tonight. Else let me know, I will help myself with a cab." I replied back - "That won't be necessary. The cab is here already. Starting now. Be ready." I lifted my luggage and rushed to the cab outside.   Shall we directly go to the airport Sir? asked the driver. "No we have to pick someone on the way and then take us to airport." The driver nodded and the cab was on its way. "Someone"- I just referred to her as "someone". Is that what she will be for me after tonight? Is this truly ...
